After two years dreaming about having our own space to be creative, we’ve finally set up our very own office. We looked for the perfect place for two months, and at last we found it: a small and simple studio in the heart of Buenos Aires, Argentina. We wanted somewhere we could work together and talk freely to each other, and this seemed like the ideal place: with no partition walls and a great, open view to the beautiful Buenos Aires sky, it certainly is an environment that inspires us to think outside the box!
We added plants, desks, computers —and most importantly, our beloved coffee machine, Vertigo, who welcomes us every day with the hot, steamy power punch that we need early in the morning to face the day with energy and positivity (Yes, we are big coffee-lovers).
Two years of working from home have taught us how essential teamwork and collaboration are in order to be productive and to ensure personal well-being. Achieving a good work-life balance is a must if we want to stay creative and happy. For some, the best way to do this is by having a workplace away from home. But others find it easier to focus in a private environment, or simply don’t enjoy sharing a workspace and being around people all the time. And that’s great as well! So we’ve decided to maintain a hybrid modality. The office is here as a place to meet, chat, work, and have fun, not as an obligation or somewhere you have to be. It’s a place made by us, for us.
This is one of the first steps to making Agonalea a reality and we’re very excited about it. The office has room for a team of six, and right now we’re four, so we still have room to expand —and we’re really looking forward to it!
To keep our inner child alive, we need to be transparent with the world and be honest about where we stand and where we want to go. So in that spirit, we wanted to share with all of you a glimpse into our new home, the place that’ll see our —hopefully— many games grow!
