For those of you who don’t know, Rhythm Realms is our first game as a fully-formed team. We’ve been developing it for a few months now and we’re close to showing its first version to the world. It’s an amazing rhythm-based RPG, a super creative and innovative concept. It mixes the rhythmic gameplay of classics like Guitar Hero with the soul and progression of an RPG. Each fight is a song, and each weapon has its own rhythm!
This open soft launch will make the game available in Canada and Argentina. The whole point of having a soft launch is getting early feedback to improve the game to new standards before the global launch. So if you’re reading this and have any sort of feedback, please don’t hesitate to contact us from our contact section.
In order to get the build ready for this vertical slice, we’re working on new aesthetics for the highway —which makes the game look way cooler—, and multiple bug-fixing to give the game stability and consistency at all times. The soft launch will include a tutorial and two arenas —The Valley Arena and The Desert Arena— with 10 fights each, as well as early multiplayer fights in the online mode.
But while working on the soft launch, we’re also looking ahead: as we perfect the build for this milestone, we’re writing the documentation in order to implement new features in future builds. For example, we have almost everything ready for our “Heroes” feature, which will allow players to collect and upgrade multiple characters, and a “Conditions” feature, which will provide some weapons with special powers such as the ability to poison, burn or paralyze the opponent.
